Joe Sitkowski
Joe Sitkowski, excelled early in his athletic journey showcasing his talent at Woodland Junior High, leading the basketball team to an undefeated season and earning recognition on the All-Region Tournament Team. Transitioning to Fayetteville High School in 1984, Joe embarked on a remarkable basketball career, becoming a four-year letterman and contributing to the team's impressive record of 100-17. His stellar performances helped secure four consecutive AAAA West Conference Championships and a state tournament title in 1987, where he was named MVP. Graduating as the Career Points Leader and holding several records, Joe left an incredible mark on Fayetteville High's basketball program.
Continuing his athletic pursuits at the University of Central Arkansas, Joe excelled in both basketball and baseball, earning multiple accolades including AIC All-Conference selections and recognition on the NAIA All-Tournament Team. His leadership and character were honored with the Bobby Reece Memorial Award in 1992, and he was later inducted into the UCA Sports Hall of Fame in 2005.
Outside of athletics, Joe dedicated 28 years to public education, serving as a teacher, coach, and administrator. Married to Tarin Sitkowski for 29 years, Joe is a proud father to daughter Ashton Ferrell, son Ryne Sitkowski, and grandson Paycen Ferrell. Retired from his educational career, Joe continues to inspire others with his legacy of athletic excellence and commitment to the community.
