Calli Berna Derby

Calli Berna Derby's journey through Fayetteville High School basketball was marked by extraordinary achievements and memorable moments. As a standout point guard, she led the Bulldogs to remarkable victories, including a dramatic state tournament title secured by her clutch three-point shot. Throughout her high school career, Calli amassed numerous accolades, including four all-state and all-conference honors, setting records in assists and steals, and earning recognition as the Gatorade Arkansas Girls Basketball Player of the Year in 2011. Transitioning to collegiate basketball, Calli continued to excel as a true freshman at the University of Arkansas, earning a spot on the Southeastern Conference All-Freshman Team. Her sophomore season showcased her versatility and leadership, leading the SEC in assists per game while recording impressive scoring performances and double-figure assists in multiple games. Calli's junior and senior years saw her emerge as a dominant force, ranking among the SEC's top performers in assists, steals, and minutes played, earning her a spot on the Nancy Lieberman Award Watch List and cementing her legacy as one of Arkansas' most accomplished players.

Off the court, Calli's dedication to her education and personal growth shined through. Graduating with a degree in broadcast journalism, she continued her academic pursuits while making significant contributions to the Razorbacks' basketball program. Calli's impact extends beyond statistics, as she exemplified the values of hard work, determination, and leadership both on and off the court, leaving an indelible mark on Fayetteville High School and the University of Arkansas basketball programs. Calli and her husband, AJ, reside in Florida where they raise their two daughters, Charlie and Chase.
